On Sunday June 12, 2005 the Scand Fibre Logistics operations started. This means Hector Rail will run trains between Hallsberg and Piteå, Frövi, Norrköping and Grums-Gothenburg. The operations will add up to a total of 1.5 million train kilometres per year.
Together with the Euroshuttle business Hector Rail will operate almost 2 million train kilometres per year, corresponding to approximately five percent of the total number of freight train kilometres in Sweden. Hector Rail now has 32 train drivers employed and five of its 161 locomotives in operation.
