Hector Rail will make test runs in Sweden with two locomotives from Austrian State Railways. The locomotives are 1012.002 and 1142.588.
The first tests will take place in mid Sweden at the end of October. The locomotives will leave Austria this evening (October 10).
The 1012 locomotives were made in only three units in 1996. The locomotives are modern AC locomotives with a maximum power of 6400 kW.
The 1142 locomotives are Austrian standard locomotives built between 1969 and 1977. They have been modernised during the 1990’s. The maximum power is 4000 kW.
