Skandinaviens ledande privatägda tågoperatör Hector Rail drar DN-tåget genom Danmark

Idag, skriver Hector Rail historia då tågoperatören drar passagerartåget via Danmark. Tåget fortsätter sedan vidare ned till kontinenten, och för första gången hela vägen utan att köra ombord på en färja först. Från och med 14:e februari 2020 har Hector Rail tillstånd att köra passagerartrafik i Danmark. Premiärturen blir det chartertåg som den svenska dagstidningen Dagens Nyheter anordnar tillsammans med Euro Express och där Hector Rail ansvarar för tågdragandet i Skandinavien. Tåget avgår från Stockholm 21 februari och kör till Italien och Österrike via Danmark. Tåget vänder tillbaka samma väg och ankommer Stockholm efter en vecka. Nytt transportavtal mellan Hector Rail AB och Södra Skogsägarna

Stockholm den 29 november 2019 – Hector Rail AB och Södra Skogsägarna ekonomisk förening har ingått ett nytt transportavtal för rundvirkestransporter. Uppdraget omfattar försörjning av Södra Skogsägarnas massabruk och sågverk i Sverige. Inaguration ceremony in Malungsfors

On Tuesday, August 20th, the Västerdalsbanan was re-opened in Malungsfors. Freight traffic ceased to and from the city over 20 years ago and is now resumed. The track has been renovated and trains can now run the route between Malungsfors and Rågsveden. During the inauguration ceremony, besides our CEO Claes Scheibe, who gave a small speech in front of ca 500 listeners, the Minister of Infrastructure Tomas Eneroth (S), Lena Erixon, Director General of the Swedish Transport Administration, Ylva Thörn, County Governor, Olle Larsson, CEO Fiskarheden and Fredrik Munter, CEO . Another success, is that we succeeded in placing our Vectron loco 243 exactly behind the pulpit for everyone to view. Hector Rail to run the first DN-train

On Sunday, August 25th, we will run the first DN train from Sthlm C, platform 12. The DN train is a charter train in which the newspaper Dagens Nyheter collaborates with the travel agency World Travel. The train travels through Europe to northern Italy where passengers can enjoy the dramatic mountain scenery of the Dolomites, discover beautiful Venice and see an opera performance in Verona. Two charter trains are planned this year and the next departure is September 1st. The journey takes 7-8 days and begins and ends at Stockholm Central. Hector Rail's mission this year is to pull the train from Sthlm C to Trelleborg C, where the train will be exchanged tothe ferry to Rostock will be exchanged. The CEO of Hector Rail Group, Joakim Landholm, has elected to leave his position due to personal reasons. “The decision to leave the Hector Rail Group was a difficult one. On the 20th June LKAB and Hector Rail AB signed a new 5-year contract, starting in December 2017. LKAB is the biggest Iron Ore producer in Europe and are based in Kiruna and Malmberget. Hector Rail is an independent freight logistics supplier for the European Rail Transport Market with operations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Germany.
